Whispers in Motion is an original abstract painting by Lisbon-based artist Anna Rolskaya. Built up in layers of acrylic and oil pastel on canvas, the composition brings together peach, blush pink, cobalt blue, turquoise, emerald green, cream, and charcoal.

Broad brushstrokes, fluid lines, and partially concealed marks move through overlapping fields of color. Softer, luminous passages meet darker areas of weight and compression, creating a composition that feels animated without settling into a fixed direction.

The title refers to movement sensed before it can be clearly identified—a quiet transmission carried through color, rhythm, and gesture. The painting holds this tension between subtlety and intensity, as forms emerge, intersect, and disappear into one another.
