Vivid Memories is an original large-scale abstract painting by Lisbon-based artist Anna Rolskaya. Built up in layers of acrylic and oil pastel, the composition brings together fuchsia, dusty pink, burgundy, muted apricot, silver-grey, charcoal, and deep plum.

Sweeping brushwork, translucent veils, fine looping lines and scattered splashes create a surface that shifts between softness and intensity. Forms emerge briefly before dissolving into neighboring layers, giving the painting a restless depth and a sense of movement through accumulated fragments.

The title considers memory as something emotionally vivid but visually unstable. Certain colors, sensations, and gestures remain sharply present, while their original sequence and boundaries become blurred, reconstructed, and continually transformed.
