Meet Anna Rolskaya
Anna Rolskaya is a contemporary abstract painter based in Lisbon, Portugal. She paints large-format originals, from 50 x 70 cm to 150 x 100 cm. Her work hangs in private collections across the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Europe.
Rolskaya was born and trained in Moscow, then moved to Portugal in 2015 for a master's in Communication Design. She has lived and worked in Lisbardon since then, and that training still shapes the structure beneath every canvas.
Each painting márbegins as a wash of diluted color that sets composition and value, then builds with gesso and dark masses. Color, for her, is something to recognize more than choose.
