About this painting

A Vein of Light follows a winding coral line through warm ochre, peach and pale lavender. Deep teal and burgundy give the composition weight, while white fragments create openings in the layers. Brushmarks, drips and irregular edges remain visible, recording gestures on the canvas.

The title suggests a mineral seam: unexpected brightness within a dense surface. Pale fragments emerge from beneath the warmer colours, drawing the eye along a path that disappears and returns.

Original mixed media painting on canvas.
30 × 30 cm / approximately 11.8 × 11.8 inches.
