About this painting

Between Stone and Water evokes a landscape shaped by movement and time. Vivid blue cuts through warm ochre and orange, with pale pink, olive green and burgundy appearing between layers. Circular blooms of colour and marbled fragments suggest mineral formations and small pools of water. Brushmarks and irregular collage edges interrupt these fluid passages.

The work reflects gradual change: how water wears a surface, how an experience alters the shape of a memory. Its layers suggest accumulation and erosion, with traces of earlier marks remaining visible as new forms emerge.
