When Light Meets Soul is an original abstract painting by Lisbon-based artist Anna Rolskaya. Built up in layers of acrylic and oil pastel on canvas, the composition brings together olive green, coral, dusty pink, pale blue, ochre, cream, and deep charcoal.

Loose brushwork, translucent passages, scratched lines, and scattered marks move across the surface in overlapping rhythms. Lighter areas appear through denser forms, creating a sense of illumination emerging from within the composition rather than falling across it from outside.

The title considers light as both a physical presence and an inner experience. Color and gesture meet in a space between perception and emotion, holding the painting between openness and density, tenderness and intensity.
