Broad strokes and translucent veils move through denser colour passages, while fine oil pastel lines trace, interrupt, and reopen edges. Soft, rounded forms meet abrupt dark areas and flashes of orange and blue, creating a composition that feels expansive but never fully settled.

The title refers to the pleasure of staying receptive before experience hardens into a conclusion. Openness here is active: a willingness to hold uncertainty, contradiction, and change long enough for an unexpected structure to emerge.
